Kalymnos is the island of sponge divers. The island is ideal for the visitor
looking for an off-the-beaten-path experience, for as holiday close to nature
and to simple, hospitable people. The port, Kalymnos, hosts an archaeological museum where collections that testify to the island's
long history are exhibited. Close by there is the Nymphs Cave, where, according to legend, seven young girls hid to avoid captivity by
pirates. There are either small villages dispersed around the island like, Horio, Vathis, Emborios and Massouri. Kalymnos has a lot of beautiful pebble stone and sandy beaches.
