ANKARA - Finance Minister Sumer Oral said on Thursday that an
additional budget of approximately 150 trillion liras is needed for the
aid to be given to political parties and other expenditures due to
early elections.

ANKARA - The discussion of the first article of the EU Adjustment Laws
bill has not been completed.

THAT U.S. PRESIDENT BUSH SENT LETTER TO ECEVIT ABOUT IRAQ
WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. National Security Spokesman Sean McCormack said
on Thursday that the news telling that U.S. President George W. Bush
sent a letter to Prime Minister Ecevit about an operation to Iraq was
not correct.
[04] PARLIAMENT DISCUSSES EU ADJUSTMENT LAWS BILL
ANKARA - The parliamentary general assembly decided on Thursday to
start voting the provisions of the bill on EU adjustment laws.
[05] AGREEMENT ON FOUNDATION OF BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN PIPELINE COMPANY
SIGNED IN LONDON
ANKARA - Energy and Natural Resources Ministry said on Thursday that
the agreement related to the foundation of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline
company (BTC Co) was signed in London on Thursday.
[06] 12 PERSONS WHO WOULD STAGE BOMB ATTACKS CAPTURED
DUZCE - A total of 12 persons who would stage bomb attacks at filling
stations and certain restaurants at D-100 highway between Istanbul and
Ankara were captured on Thursday.

ANKARA - Motherland Party (ANAP) leader Mesut Yilmaz has said that
there will always be people who can abuse freedom but Turkey cannot
break its ties from civilization or stop its efforts to join the EU
because of this reason.

operations, 100 terrorists were killed, and 33 others were injured. A
