Zhaoxing, who will be accompanied by an eight-member delegation, will be received by President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos and hold talks with Iacovou. [02] National Council to meet Monday0925:CYPPRESS:02National Council to meet Monday Nicosia, Aug 20 (CNA) -- The National Council, the top advisory body to President Tassos Papadopoulos on the handling of the Cyprus question, will meet Monday. The Council, comprising all eight parliamentary parties, is set to be briefed by Papadopoulos about this week's talks in Athens with the Greek leadership. The meeting takes place in view of discussions among European Union Foreign Ministers in early September aiming to define the negotiating framework with Turkey, scheduled to begin accession negotiations on 3 October. [03] Cyprus sends medical staff to Egypt1230:CYPPRESS:03Cyprus sends medical staff to Egypt Nicosia, Aug 20 (CNA) -- Cyprus is sending medical and paramedical staff to Egypt to help bring back those injured in Friday's fatal road accident and assist in the preparation of the bodies of seven Cypriots killed, to ensure their speedy return home for burial. Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry told CÍÁ today that arrangements are underway to send with Cyprus Airways medics and paramedics to Sharm El Sheikh, where the accident happened last night, when a minibus Cypriot tourists had hired overturned and crashed, apparently because of a flat tyre while speeding. Two of the six people injured have sustained serious injuries but they are out of danger, Zakheos said. Cyprus' Ambassador to Egypt Phaedon Anastasiou said all seven bodies have been identified and he was in touch with the Egyptian authorities to help speed up formalities for the return of the bodies.
