Cypriot and British FM's meet in London
London, Jul 26 (CNA) -- Cypriot Foreign Minister George Iacovou held
today in London a meeting with his British counterpart Jack Straw,
during which they discussed the Cyprus problem, as well as European
issues concerning Cyprus.
Answering to questions about the European Commission's regulations
regarding the financial aid towards the Turkish Cypriots and the direct
trade between Turkish Cypriots and European countries, Straw said that
the Commission's proposal is on the table and that there will be
efforts to reach a compromise.
