The Spokesman reiterated the government's readiness for talks that would lead to a revised plan for a Cyprus settlement, which would take into consideration the concerns of the Greek Cypriot side and would serve the interests of both communities, not third parties, and called on Talat to be honest about the reasons that led the Turkish Cypriots into isolation, adding that the delay in opening new crossing points was not due to the Greek Cypriot side. The two sides are discussing an outline of an agreement for a long-term programme of exhumations of persons from both communities, listed as missing.
