Iacovou denounces illegal Turkey-pseudostate agreement

Nicosia, Sep 8 (CNA) -- Foreign Minister Georgios Iacovou stressed before the Informal General Affairs and External Relations Council, that took place in Italy September 5-6, the need to solve problems between EU member states and among EU member states, acceding countries and applicant countries.

WIND: Gentle to moderate Southwesterly to Westerly wind 3-4BF during day becoming light to gentle Northwesterly to Northwestery. 2-3BF over night. SEA STATE: Slight to Moderate TEMPERATURE: Varies between 20-32 degrees inland and South coast, 18-30 degrees over West coast, 14-22 degrees over Prodromos area.

Papandreou to discuss Cyprus problem during visit

Athens, Sep 8 (CNA-ANA) - Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs George Papandreou will be meeting the government and political party leadership of Cyprus on September 10 and 11, during a visit to the island.

During Panadreou's meetings and a dinner to be hosted in his honour by President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos, all aspects of the Cyprus problem will be discussed and preparations will be made in view of a visit to Athens on September 16 by President Papadopoulos.

AEGEE European conference to be held in Cyprus

Nicosia, Sep 8 (CNA) The European Students Forum (Association des Etats Generaux des Etudiants de l Europe (AEGEE Europe) will organise a conference in the Fulbright Centre in the buffer zone in Nicosia on 12 September, in an effort to bring European students and students from both communities in an open dialogue on the situation on the island.

Diana Filip, President of AEGEE Europe told CNA that we are trying to bring students together for dialogue on the European role, Cyprus in Europe, talk about their visions and how they can overcome mental borders and all these problems.
