Farandouri and Livanelli joined voices for Cyprus concert
Nicosia, Jul 5 (CNA) -- ''This land is theirs and ours; nobody can take
it from us'' thousands of Greek and Turkish Cypriots sang last night,
while Greek singer Maria Farandouri and Turkish singer and composer
Zulfu Livaneli joined their voices expressing their wish for peace in
Cyprus.
The open air concert ''We sing for Cyprus'' in the moat of the D'
Avilla Bastion on the Nicosia ancient city walls was organised jointly
by AKEL, the Cultural Movement and the bi-communal choir with the
participation of the artists Doros Demosthenous, Giorgos Loris and
Ergan Dagli.
