    Nicosia, Jul 1 (CNA) -- The Larnaca Bombing Range, retained by the United Kingdom under the Treaty of Establishment of the Republic of Cyprus in 1960, was today returned to the Republic of Cyprus by the government of the UK in conformity with the provisions of the Treaty of Establishment of the Republic of Cyprus.

    Nicosia, Jul 1 (CNA) - Greek Minister of Merchant Shipping Giorgos Anomeritis said today that with Greece being fourth and Cyprus sixth in the international ship register, the two countries hold more than fifty percent of the European Union fleet.

    Speaking here after the signing of the first cooperation agreement on merchant shipping between Greece and Cyprus, Anomeritis said the ''two large powers'' in the sector of merchant shipping ''will dominate the EU''.

    Nicosia, Jul 1 (CNA) The United Nations have given reassurances to the government of the Republic that the electricity supply will not be cut off in the southeastern village of Strovilia, where in the recent past the Turkish occupation troops have caused problems to local residents.
