Themistocleous: Water should not be taken for granted
Nicosia, Oct 15 (CNA) Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment
Minister, Costas Themistocleous said water must not be taken for
granted even if the government gives satisfactory solutions to all
water problems. Themistocleous called on Cypriots to avoid any waste of
water whatever their activity might be.
In a speech on the occasion of World Food Day on Tuesday, the minister
said that in selecting this year the theme Water, Source for Food
Security, FAO wants to emphasise the primary role of water for the
production of sufficient quantities of good quality food, so that life
can be sustained on this planet.
