    [02] House President - UEL - Conference

Nicosia, Aug 27 (CNA) -- House President Demetris Christofias said today that those who truly wish to see the Cyprus problem solved should exert pressure on Ankara and Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash so the latter would return to the UN-led negotiations and negotiate in good faith.

Addressing the 4th Conference of the Unified European Left (UEL) of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, held in the southern coastal town of Larnaca, Christofias said the possible resumption of UN-led talks could create some prospects for a solution, if Denktash decides to discuss a solution based on relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
