[01] British Foreign Secretary - Cyprus
Nicosia, Jul 18 (CNA) -- British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has said
Britain, together with its EU partners and the US, will continue to support
the ongoing UN settlement process for the Cyprus problem that he described
as "the best chance of achieving a just, lasting an comprehensive solution
to the problem."
Replying to a letter sent to him by Councilors of the London Borough of
Barnet Andreas Tambourides and Kanti Patel, Straw assured Britain would
remain committed to working with the UN Secretary-General to help achieve
such a solution and would continue to urge all concerned, including Turkey,
to cooperate with him in a flexible and positive manner.
