[02] CFA - US university - Illegal regime
Nicosia, Feb 10 (CNA) -- The Cyprus Federation of America protested to the
President of the Central Connecticut State University for signing a so-
called "protocol" for cooperation with the illegal "eastern Mediterranean
university" in the Turkish-o ccupied part of Cyprus.
In a letter to CCSU President Richard Judd, the President of the CFA
Savas C. Tsivicos notes that the so-called "university" is located in the
occupied areas of Cyprus and the premises it operates from are the legal
property of a Greek Cypriot refugee family. Tsivicos makes an extensive
reference to the results of the Turkish invasion and occupation of the
island's northern third since 1974.
