[01] German Social Democrat leader - Cypriot politicians
Nicosia, Feb 10 (CNA) - German Social Democratic Party leader, Lothar Biski,
visiting the island at the invitation of left-wing AKEL, said here today
that his party strongly supports a solution to the Cyprus problem and the
island's European Union accession course.
Speaking through an interpreter, after meetings with political leaders,
Biski said "we will struggle both through the Bundestag (parliament) and
internationally to achieve this goal", that is a Cyprus settlement to "the
benefit of the people of the island as a whole".

[03] Foreign Minister - Cyprus question
Nicosia, Feb 10 (CNA) - Cyprus Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides said
today that if a third round of proximity talks on the Cyprus problem
produces results a fourth round would be justified and the road for a
settlement may open.
Speaking after briefing the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry on
developments in the Cyprus question, Kasoulides said that in the first
round of talks each side outlined its positions and during the second round
the positions were elaborated on.
