    [03] Britain - Cyprus - Press reports

London Jan 11 (CNA) -- Britain has denied press reports that its Cyprus envoy has proposed that Greek Cypriots re-open some hotels in the Turkish occupied town of Varosha (on the eastern coast) and re-operate Varosha port, also under occupation since 1974.

However, Britain has not ruled out the possibility of such an idea having been floated since the UN-led proximity talks last month in New York, which ended in mid-December.
