[01] Clerides - Political leaders - Cyprus question
Nicosia, Nov 23 (CNA) -- Cypriot political party leaders today appeared
cautious over the possibility of a breakthrough in the UN-led proximity
talks on the Cyprus question, scheduled to start in New York on December 3,
given the intransigent positions maintained by the Turkish side.
The parliamentary party leaders called on President Glafcos Clerides
today to be briefed on his meetings in Constantinople, Turkey, on the
sidelines of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE)
summit and his talks with Greek Premier Costas Simitis on Monday.
