Nikol has informed President Plavsic about a design of the convertible currency, which will be put into circulation in May, of 1998 at the rate of 1:1 relating DM. According to Nikol this currency will be a mean of payment throughout the whole region of B&H, and will be printed in two variants - for the RS and Muslim-Croat federation - with different figures. " President Plavsic expressed pleasure with the design of the new currency" - Nikol said. He also said that an Office of the B&H Central bank would be open in Banjaluka in two months time at the latest.BANJALUKA - The RS President Biljana Plavsic and the RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik had separate talks with an Malaysian Ambassador to B&H Rastem Mohd Eso in Banjaluka. They stated after talks that " regarding Dayton the reconstruction of two countries is being needed, above all, in the field of economic cooperation. In an announcement from the President's Cabinet is said that experts from RS and Malaysia should meet as soon as possible in order to consider forms of economic cooperation. BANJALUKA - The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik had talks in Banjaluka for the first time with a B&H Central bank President Piter Nikol about putting into circulation of a convertible currency. After talks behind closed doors Nikol stated that he has informed the Premier Doik about work of the Central bank. According to him Dodik gave a full support to this new currency. BANJALUKA - The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik wished a successful work to the newly appointed B&H Ambassadors before their taking over new positions. " Our intention is to affirm B&H as well as its entities as its parts. We wish to have rights guaranteed by the Dayton accord to the RS and our Government. BRCKO - A mayor of Brcko Borko Reljic assessed that " the opening of a port in Brcko will be of immense importance for economic development in RS and establishing of economic relations in the region of B&H". During Ceremony of opening of port Reljic expressed hope that the international community would continue to support RS regarding this event. Mladen Zonjic a director of Brcko port assessed that with that action city of Brcko has entered in Europe. SARAJEVO - Presiding of the Presidency of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) Aleksa Buha received in Pale in protocol visit a member of Temporary Election Commission (PIK) Vladimir Kuznecov, relating forthcoming elections in September. " I am pleased to be in RS again although I am not the OSCE political director any more" - Kuznecov said . BANJALUKA - The President of the Serbian Party of Krajina and Posavina (SSKP) Predrag Lazarevic stated in Banjaluka that that party supports nonappearance of the Bishop of Banjaluka Mr. Jefrem on talks with a German Foreign Affairs Minister Klaus Kinkel. At a press-conference Lazarevic warned that it was a high time for Germans to ask for forgiveness from Serbs barring in mind that they committed horrible crimes toward Serbs. BANJALUKA - Signing of an agreement on realisation of a help to RS valued at six millions of ECU, which has been approved by EU, is scheduled for tomorrow at 10.00am. As it has been announced from the Ministry of Information the signing of agreement will be attended by the RS President Biljana Plavsic and RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik. On behalf of the international organisations the International Community High Representative Carlos Westendorp is also expected to come along with Ambassadors of Holland, Sweden, Great Britain, Canada and EU. BELGRADE - A Special American Envoy for the Balkans Robert Gelbart assessed that " the newly elected Government has done more in six weeks than previous in two years". " We are delighted with positive steps of the new RS Government but we can not say that such positive steps are happening in cooperation with Muslim and Croats" - Gelbard said at a press-conference in Belgrade after he had talks with the President of FR Yugoslavia (FRY) Slobodan Milosevic. He also said that the U.S.A. has offered to FRY " limited concessions as the first demonstration of its entering in the international economy". Gelbart called that as " a reward for Milosevic's support to the new RS Government". Washington will allow FRY several ambassadors in UN and opening of consulate in New York. BANJALUKA - B&H Foreign Affairs Minister Jadranko Prlic thinks that " establishing of full diplomatic relations with FRY and Republic of Croatia represents a task of a priority in the B&H foreign policy". " Ministry of Foreign Affairs can not and will not restrict the international contacts of the official representatives of entities but future contacts must be based on adopted platforms and through this Ministry". BELGRADE - An arbiter from RS in Arbitration Commission for the inter- entity boundary line in the region of Brcko Vitomir Popovic will urge for the Arbitration Tribunal to make a final decision for Brcko to stay within RS. "Brcko should stay within RS and RS will continue to respect all obligations of the Dayton accord"- Popovic said in Banjaluka. " International representatives confirmed before the Arbitration Tribunal that the RS has fulfilled all its obligations in Brcko" - Popovic said. MODRICA - A decision to voluntarily surrender myself to the RS Internal Affairs Ministry and War Crimes Tribunal in Hague has been motivated with my innocence - Simo Zaric a third Serb from Samac who has decided to surrender to the Hague war crimes tribunal stated for SRNA. " Behind this very difficult but human decision stands authority of RS, Serbian people and family" - said Popovic hoping that the truth will win. " I am not afraid to go to Hague because I am not guilty, Zaric said adding that the indictment is hard one by terminology and its subject" - Zaric said. SRBINJE - Delegates of the Coalition for the Whole and Democratic B&H have obstructed work of the Srbinje Municipal Assembly . In the end they have left the session because other delegates put on the last place of agenda a discussion about implementation of the local election's results.
