MARCH 16 1997 EVENING
NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA
SARAJEVO - The delegates of the National Assembly of RS adopted, by the
majority of votes, the Draft Law on changes and amendments of the Law on
privatisation of enterprises and passed the proposal of the Legislative-
Legal Commission that about these regulations would be held the one month
public discussion. There passed the proposal of the president of the RS
National Assembly Dragan Kalinic that in the public discussion would
participate the representatives of the Economic Chamber of RS,
relevant economic and legal institutions of RS, and that this would
be covered by media. With 56 votes FOR and 11 AGAINST, urgently
was adopted the Draft Law on changes in the Law on provisional
determination of customs during the import of motor vehicles and trailers
and engines. The Work Presidency of the National assembly of RS proposed
after the discussion to pass reports of the competent assembly commissions
regarding the Information on enforcement of laws and other regulations in
the field of solving the status matters of demobilised soldiers, families
of fallen soldiers and war veterans. The Assembly passed the proposed
measures of the Ministry for the matters of fighters. The delegates of the
National Assembly of RS elected Marko Arsovic, the judge of the Supreme
Court of RS, and Vitomir Popovic, the professor at the Law Faculty in Banja
Luka, as the judges from RS for the Constitutional Court of B&H. The last
item on the agenda, the Delegates' questions and proposals, were postponed
for the next session of the National Assembly, by which was finished the
Fifth regular session of the National Assembly of RS.
SARAJEVO - The president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/
Dragan Kalinic assessed that the Agreement on the special parallel
relations between the RS and FR Yugoslavia /SRJ/, "by its importance and
range, is beyond the current actual interests of any regime and individual".
"The Agreement is very important for the people in whole, because it
surpasses all disputes and misunderstandings which, perhaps, could have
been felt at the Assembly" - stated Mr. Kalinic to reporters after the
adoption of the Law on ratification of Agreement on the Fifth session of
the National Assembly on the Jahorina mountain.
SARAJEVO - The Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ at no any moment was in the
dilemma whether to pass the agreement on special parallel relations between
RS and FR Yugoslavia, because it deems it as useful for both parties and as
an element of cohesion of the people in two Serbian states. This stated Mr.
Vojislav Maksimovic, the president of the Delegate's Club of SDS, after the
two days session of RS National Assembly, while assessing that the
"voluminous and interesting programme of work was done as was required by
the parliamentary debate".
SARAJEVO - The delegate of the Serbian Radical Party /SRS/ in the National
Assembly of RS Miroslav Radovanovic assessed that during the two days of
Assembly session were brought the decisions of extraordinary importance for
the further survival of RS. "The greatest thing which has happened is the
stronger connecting for Serbia and Montenegro, because without Serbia and
Montenegro RS can't survive at all", said Mr. Radovanovic, stressing that
the "mission of RS is actually the Serbian Piemont".
SARAJEVO - The Governor of the National Bank of RS Manojlo Djoric stated in
Pale that the completing of the Law on Central Bank should be finished as
soon as possible, regarding the soon Donor's Conference for RS and B&H
Federation, scheduled for April 14. Djoric expressed the hope that this job
will be finished in the very short time, although, according to him, "still
the issues about the organisation of Central Bank, the name and
design of the future currency and transferring the existing National Bank
of B&H into the Central Bank, were not solved yet".
DOBOJ - The HQ of Nordic-Polish brigade of SFOR in Doboj, although the term
was the March 15, didn't confirmed that it is made the marking of the
demarcation line between the RS and FB&H in the village Hodzici, which was
inhabited by Moslems without permission of the authorities in Doboj. Also,
the Serbian police in Doboj didn't confirm whether the planned demarcation
was done, although the SFOR command committed itself that, as planned,
"latest until Mart 15 will define and in the field mark the demarcation
line between RS and FB&H".
