PARIS - The French media transmit German chief of diplomacy Klaus Kinkel's assessment on the "improvement" achieved in negotiations with Momcilo Krajisnik, regardless a fact that the Serb representative in the Presidency of the Dayton B-H did not sign up a solemn statement. The meeting was held in the German Embassy in Sarajevo, with unseen security measures provided, say the French-German TV "Arte" and Radio France International, mentioning that this was Krajisnik's first stay in Sarajevo after five years. The RFI transmitted a warning of Republika Srpska (RS) president Biljana Plavsic that there would be no conditions for local elections unless Muslim armed incursions into RS territory are continued.

HAMBURG - A relative peace reigning presently in the postelection Bosnia should have not been a motive for an exaggerated optimism, warned the German paper "Welt", adding that "the last war was just a link on an endless chain of centuries-old conflicts in the region". While reminding its readers that the Americans and their obedient European allies ordered unity for the Dayton B-H for three enemy peoples - the Serbs, Croats and Muslims - the paper writes that even a ceremony of laying foundation for a such construction was not spared from differences and threats with sanctions.

CLEVELAND - The idea of economic reconstruction, on the basis of which the political reintegration of Bosnia will be proceeded with, has fallen dawn in reality, while Washington's ambitious plan to invest billions of dollars in the reconstruction has found numerous obstacles, assesses the Washington Post. The paper claims the international community is not ready to provide needed funs. "Out of five billion dollars, as much the World Bank estimated as needed for the beginning of the reconstruction process, the international community promised to ensure two billion, while only 558 million dollars were made available as yet", concludes the paper.

PODGORICA - President of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), Vojislav Seselj, stated that "it is only a true faith in the creation of an unitary Serbian state, liberation of the Republic of the Srpska Krajina, a part of RS, Serb Dubrovinik and Serb Macedonia, that still keeps me in the policy". While talking at the preelection meeting in Golubovci, near Podgorica, Seselj stressed that the "Western border of the Greater Serbia is in the Karblobag-Ogulin-Karlovac-Vitovitica direction, and that it will be established as soon as Russia straightens up".

BANJALUKA - The most known present political detainee held in Muslim prison, Alija Besirevic, better known as Alicia Beg from Cazin, accused Izetbegovic, Ganic, and Delic of starting inter-Muslim clashes in the Bihac area in 1993. Besirevic was arrested a month ago under charge that, as a member of the Autonomous Region of Western Bosnia leadership, he closely collaborated with Fikret Abdic.

TRAVNIK - There is no peace and security for a small number of Croats still living in Travnik, says a communique of the Corat Municipality of Travnik, based in Nova Bila, with listed cases of destruction of Croat property, harassment, insult, desecration of their sacral buildings and an outrage.
