"There are many mistakes made by OSCE in making final voter lists, which caused chaos, especially, within greater electoral units", stated minis ter Arsovic in Banjaluka. SARAJEVO - RS minister of interiors, Dragan Kijac stated for SRNA that "neither even a single incident was noted by 17:00 hrs, along the agreed routes for the movement of voters from the Federation of Bosnia & Hercegovina and Yugoslavia to RS, nor at the pooling stations in RS was". In the Gacko and Praca areas, Muslims attempted to cross the places that were not agreed to, but Serb police prevented them and forwarded to the agreed cross ings, without using the force. SARAJEVO - RS foreign minister Aleksa Buha and his associ ates, talked in Pale with a parliamentary delegation from Japan, led by Mr. Moneo Suzuky, about the elections in RS, as well as about the possibilities for economic cooperation and participa tion of Japan in the reconstruction of RS. "We talked about the possibility for investing Japan's capital in the recovery and reconstruction of the economy in RS. They assessed that the possibilities on the matter are enormous and that capital will not be invested in accordance with the laws of RS and Japan but according to profit laws", stated Buha. SARAJEVO - RS vicepremier and president of the Operative Staff for organisation of elections, Milomir Draganic, expressed his satisfaction this evening with the realisation of the plan for transportation of voters from Yugoslavia, the western lands and from the Federation of B&H to RS. "I can say that turnout of voters in RS was very high, and that we have provided for their transportation many buses that will take them to the polling sta tions, and especially, for those who arrived by train in Zvornik or Bijeljina", stated Draganic in a statement for SRNA. SARAJEVO - The president of the RS Electoral Commission, Svetislav Stanojevic, assessed that the elections in RS are proceeding on a satisfactorily way. He advised the voters not registered on the final list to procure a certificate from the municipal electoral commissions showing that they are listed on the provisional voters list, for without the certificate they will not be able to vote. Stanojevic said that by 16:00 hrs, not even one information on the possible incident at the polling stations in RS was reported to the Republic Electoral Commission in Pale. SARAJEVO - The president of the RS Electoral Commission, Svetislav Stanojevic, confirmed that the polling stations in RS will close by 19:00 hrs, as was planned. According to a commu nique issued by the OSCE's Provisional Electoral Commission, delivered to the RS Electoral Commission, only persons who found themselves at the polling stations at the time of closure will be able to vote after 19:00 hrs. Beyond this deadline the polling stations will be opened also for persons who were left from the final voters list and who procured a certificate showing that their names are listed on the provisional electoral list. SARAJEVO - About 1,196,124 voters registered by 14:00 hrs within 48 RS municipalities that presented the data to the Repub lic Electoral Commission in Pale. The total of 165,472 voters registered in Banjaluka, while only 427 registered in Kupres. SARAJEVO - More than 100 polling places in RS and the Croat/Muslim Federation will remain open by 22:00 hrs, making it possible for all voters to exercise their right to vote, reported the OSCE in Sarajevo. SARAJEVO - The OSCE's Regional Centre Sokolac director, Benjamin Karakostanogluo, assessed that the situation at the polling stations in the Eastern RS, wherein according to unoffi cial information about 70 % voters turned up, is very good and is unfolding without major incidents. At a press conference held at about 16:00 in Pale, Karakostanogluo pointed out that according to their [Regional Centre] information, only a minor figure of voters from the Federation of B&H crossed to vote in RS. BANJALUKA - The Provisional Electoral Commission (PEC) made a decision that the balloting will not be prolonged after 19:00 hrs, except for those who have not found their names on the final list, although they were registered on the provisional voters list. This was reported this evening at a news conference in the OSCE's Regional Centre in Banjaluka, mentioning that voters whose names are being checked with local provisional commissions will be able to vote after 19:00 hrs, while each local commission is to determine per one voting station for them to vote, which will be opened until their do their citizens duty. "The most difficul ties in the voter registration were in Sarajevo and Banjaluka", said the spokesman of the OSCE Office in Banjaluka, Thomas Mile rina. BELGRADE - US diplomat, Richard Holbrooke is expected to arrive tomorrow in Belgrade where he will meet with the President Slobodan Milosevic of Serbia, circles close to the ruling party in Serbia confirmed to SRNA. Holbrooke will, together with the US peace envoy for the former Yugoslavia, arrive in Belgrade by plane from Sarajevo. SARAJEVO - IFOR spokesman Brett Boudreau, stated in Sarajevo that less than 100 buses carrying Muslim voters entered RS, reports AFP. Out of 70 buses in Sarajevo, which were planned for the voters transportation to the polling stations in RS, less than 10 crossed the interentity border line today. SARAJEVO - The chief of the OSCE's mission in the Dayton B&H, US ambassador Robert Frowick, assessed today that, in spite of "some bureaucrat difficulties", the elections are proceeding satisfactorily.
