SARAJEVO - The data from 38 municipalities in Republika Srpska (RS) showing that about 991, 144 voters registered by 12:00 hrs in RS were presented to the Republic Electoral Commis sion. According to data, about 794,475 voters are registered on the final list. Some 30,668 voters used Form1, while 177,424 voters used Form2. According to data, by noon about 69,205 voters voted in 12 municipalities in RS. The greatest number of voters was noted in the municipalities of Trnovo and Serb Novo Sarajevo wherein 43,48 in other words 25,48 eligible voters voted.

SARAJEVO - RS minister of interiors, Dragan Kijac denied today in a statement for SRNA news items broadcast by some agen cies saying that the Serb police has closed the Novi GradPrije- dor route. Kijac also denied the claims by the CroatMuslim Federation minister of interiors, Avdo Hebib that "Serbs fired several shots at a polling station near Sarajevo, this morning". Martin Berbara, the deputy of the special representative of the secretarygeneral and coordinator of UN operations in B&H, Iqbal Riza, confirmed for SRNA that all previous information show that the voting process in unfolding satisfactorily.

BANJALUKA - Vicepresident and acting president of RS, Biljana Plavsic voted at the Bulevar polling station in Banjalu ka. "I hope that the elections throughout the territory of RS will proceed in a democratic atmosphere and that voting will primarily be in favour of the Serb Republic", stated Mrs. Plavsic in a statement for domestic and foreign journalists.

SARAJEVO - The elections are a significant event as for RS so for the all people living in its territory, stated the National Assembly president, Momcilo Krajisnik, after he cast his ballot in the Assembly building in Pale. Krajisnik expressed the hope that the elections will bring stability and consolidate peace throughout RS and the Federation of Bosnia & Hercegovina (F B&H).

BANJALUKA - RS vicepresident and acting president, Biljana Plavsic, talked in Banjaluka with the US envoy for the former Yugoslavia, Richard Holbrooke and with a delegation of the US Congress which is observing and supervising the elections. After the meeting, Mrs. Plavsic stated that the Serb side is adhering to the all provisions of the Dayton agreement, even those con cerning the functioning of joint bodies within the Union of RS and the CroatMuslim Federation.

BANJALUKA - Tomas Miljerina, a spokesman of the OSCE's Regional Office in Banjaluka, stated at a press conference that the elections are proceeding without serious difficulties. Ac cording to him, "one of the biggest problems is the one in Banja luka, where only a small number of voters registered on the voter lists".

BANJALUKA - In the Western RS the balloting is proceeding without any difficulties and incidents. Voting is slowed down in all municipal electoral commissions in this part of RS for data on voters, which are crucial for exercising the right to vote, in many cases do not agree with the provisional voters lists, report electoral commissions.

BIJELJINA - The president of the Bijeljina municipal elec toral commission, Veselin Londrovic, stated that from the list for voters registration in Semberija, many voters names were left from the provisional voters list. As Londrovic stressed, this was the case particularly in Bijeljina, Donja Bukovica and Ljeljenci.

BRCKO - From the security viewpoint, the elections within the zone of our jurisdiction from Brcko to Brod are proceeding without any problems, stated the commander of IFOR US troops in RS and the CroatMuslim Federation, colonel Gregory Fonteno. "Serb police which, in cooperation with IFOR, controls the inter entity border line, allowed ten voters from the F B&H, outside the agreement on organised movement, to cross the border line on foot", stressed colonel Fonteno.

SOKOLAC - The OSCE's Regional Centre Sokolac director, Mr. Karakostanogluo, who is supervising the elections in the Eastern RS, called all voters to proceed to the polling stations, accord ing to their registration, and cast their ballots.
