[01] A British Business Delegation Explore Possibilities for Future
Investment in Romania
A big delegation including representatives of over 60 British companies
headed by Sir Nicholas Bonsor, state secretary with the Foreign and
Commonwealth Office is in Bucharest till March 21st. The purpose of the
visit is to explore possibilities for British investment in Romania. On
Monday, the delegation will be received by the Romanian Foreign Minister

[02] The Session of the Romanian Interministerial Committee for European
Integration
The interministerial committee for European integration gather in Bucherest
on Monday. The session is chared by Prime Minister Victor Ciorbea. The
talks will focus on the preparations for Romania's integration into the EU
and for the session of the Romanian-EU Association Committee, scheduled for
March 24th, in Brussels. RRI-RADOR, March 17.
[03] Romania Encourages the Return Home of the Romanian Citizens of German
Descent Living in Germany
Romania will encourage the return home of the Romanian citizens of German
descent who emigrated to Germany, said the Romanian Public Information
Minister Radu Boroianu in an interview to the daily Frankfurter Allgemeine
Zeitung. The German ethnics who return to Romania will be given back their
homes and land, declared Mr. Boroianu who spoke on behalf of the
government. Over half a million Romanians of German origin live now in
Germany, where they benefit of the right to naturalization. France Presse
News Agency, which has broadcasted the news, says the German minority in
Romania is now estimated at about 50 thousand. RRI-RADOR, March 17.
[04] The Executive Committee of the International Association of
Prosecutors Has Met in Bucharest
The executive committee of the International Association of Prosecutors has
met in Bucharest to debate problems linked to international mutual
assistance in criminal law, difficulties in gathering evidence in criminal
investigations into abuses of children and the harmonization of criminal
law procedures. The participants are general prosecutors from The Republic
of Ireland, Japan, Thailand, Holland, Austria, Russia and China. RRI-RADOR,

[05] Romanian Tennis Player Irina Sparlea Loses Indian Wells Tournement
Final
Romanian tennis player Irina Sparlea was defeated 2-6. 1-6 by American
tennis player Lindsay Davenport, in the finals of the Indian Wells
California tournement. Sparlea, who has won four tournements till now, is
ranking 9 in the WTA standings; the best in her career so far. RRI-RADOR,
