Greek Horizons - Contemporary Art from Greece
This specially curated exhibition of works by 12 Greek artists of the present day offers a rare oppportunity to extend our experience of Greek art beyond the familiar classical and Byzantine periods to the particular nature of contemporary creation. The show considers whether or not there is a specific 'Greekness' in evidence, over and above international movements and fashions.

The European Academy for the Arts presents
The Treasures of Hera: Greek Antiquities Discovered in Southern Italy
This astonishing collection of objects dedicated to the goddess Hera excavated in the Heraion Lacinio in Calabria in 1987, is comparable to the exquisite archaeological finds of Olympia and Perachora. The exhibits, which date from 700 to 500BC, illustrate Hera's position as the patron of women, animals and navigators and demonstrate the rich exchange of cultural influences between Greeks and Etruscans. Among the 150 objects on display are pieces of jewellery in gold and silver and a golden diadem which would have adorned a statue of the goddess.

Other pieces of great interest include a marble female head, thought to be of Hera herself, and a unique bronze boat believed to be of Sardinian origin.

6pm. Wednesdays to 8pm. Closed Mondays.
