[01] U.S. PRAISES TURKEY'S EU REFORMS
WASHINGTON D.C. - The U.S. said on Monday that the adoption of the EU
adjustment laws by the Turkish parliament is a great step for Turkey's
target of joining the EU and it stressed its strong support to Turkey's
EU membership.

ANKARA - Danish Charge D'Affaires to Ankara Jesper Moller Sorenson said
on Monday that the adoption of the EU adjustment bill was a very
positive decision taken in the correct direction.

CLOSE DIALOGUE WITH TURKEY ABOUT IRAQI ISSUE
WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. said on Monday that Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein
constitutes a threat not only to his own people, but also for
neighbours of Iraq, adding that the U.S. has regular and close dialogue
with Turkey about Iraqi issue.

BAKU - Azerbaijani President Haydar Aliyev said on Monday that the
issue of financing Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) project, which will
transport Azeri oil to Turkey via Gorgia has been sorted out, adding
that this is a great development.

percent in value against Turkish lira (TL) at the end of July when
