ANKARA - Treasury will hold an auction next week to sell 105-day
bonds.

VAN - Gendarme teams captured 29 foreigners in Baskale, Ozalp, Ercis
and Gurpınar towns of eastern Van province as they illegally entered

in the January-May period of 2002.
[28] FOREIGN TRADE STATISTICS EXPORTS INCREASE 3.5 PERCENT TO USD 13.2
BILLION
ANKARA - The State Institute of Statistics announced on Friday that
exports increased 3.5 percent to 13 billion 244.5 million U.S. dollars,
and imports rose 2.4 percent to 17 billion 795.4 million U.S. dollars
in the January-May period of 2002.
