BRUSSELS - BRUSSELS (A.A) - Turkey Chambers and Commodity Exchanges
(TOBB) Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu called on the EU's decision makers
to take into consideration the views of Turkish non-governmental
organizations (NGOs).

ALMATY - State Minister Faruk Bal said on Thursday that Turkish
businessmen had made 1.5 billion U.S. dollars of investments in
Kazakhstan so far.

ISTANBUL - European Textile and Ready to Wear Association (EURATEX)

ISTANBUL - ISTANBUL (A.A) - United Nations Higher Comissioner for
Refugees (UNHCR) Turkey Representative Mirza Hussain Khan has said that
women refugees and their children form 80 percent of people who are
forced to leave their homes all over the world.

ANKARA - Foreign Ministry Cyprus Department General Director Ertugrul
Apakan has said that Turkey had to be very careful because the Turkish
Cypriots will lose their rights granted by the agreements if the Greek
Cypriots join the EU.

ISTANBUL - Transportation and telecommunication ministers of Turkey,
Azerbaijan and Georgia came together in Istanbul on Thursday to discuss
the issues of telecommunications, highway transportation and energy
corridor.

ANKARA - Tourism Minister Mustafa Tasar said on Thursday that
sustainability in tourism sector was one of the main items of agenda of
his ministry. He stated that Tourism Ministry's official vision was to
develop sustainable tourism with all institutions and rules.

KABUL - Afghan President Hamid Karzai said on Thursday that he was very
pleased that Turkey takes over the command of International Security
Assistance Force (ISAF), noting that, ''Turkey and Afghanistan
experienced friendship relations for years. Now that Turkey will
continue its assistance by taking over the command of ISAF.''

ANKARA - President Ahmet Necdet Sezer will go to Spain on Friday to

KABUL - Turkey handed over command of International Security Assistance
Force (ISAF) from Britain on Thursday.
