FACULTY POSITION OPENINGS IN OPERATIONS RESEARCH / OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (http://www.mie.uth.gr/INDEX.asp?lang=en&lc=1) at the University of Thessaly in Volos, Greece is announcing the opening of a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor or Lecturer level in the area of Operations Research / Operations Management.

The exact title of the position is:

"Quantitative Analysis for the Management of Manufacturing/Service Systems."

The DEADLINE for the submission of candidacies is FEBRUARY 4, 2008.

The position offers the opportunity to teach and conduct research in a department with highly qualified faculty members and students (undergraduate and postgraduate) in a growing research university setting. The Department brings together engineers around a curriculum that fuses mechanical, manufacturing, chemical and industrial engineering.

Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in Operations Research / Operations Management, or related fields, with a strong record of, or potential for, research and the ability to contribute to the Department's graduate and undergraduate programs.

Greek language and E.U. nationality are required for the position.

The Department will soon also announce two more position openings in the area of Operations Research / Operations Management at the level of Assistant Professor or Lecturer.

The exact titles of those positions are:

"Production Planning Scheduling and Control," and "Stochastic Models of Operations Research in Industrial Management."
