These positions require conducting research in the area of Computer Architecture with special emphasis on processor microarchitecture. This work is funded by Intel Corporation. Applicants are expected to have 1. excellent programming skills in C/C++, 2. a bachelor degree in computer science/engineering or related field, and 3. an interest to pursue graduate studies at our department. Previous coursework/experience in Computer Architecture and familiarity with the UNIX environment will be an advantage but not required. The opening is for the position of a Special Scientist on a full or part time basis. A successful applicant will be appointed initially on a semester basis. The appointment can be renewed several times and can become yearly after the first semester of appointment. The monthly salary for a full-time appointment will be in the range of CY 600-1000 depending on qualifications and prior experience (presently CY 1 = 1.7 US dollars, approximately). Part-time employment will be pro-rata. Incoming Fall 2002 graduate students are encouraged to apply. Applicants need not be citizens of the Republic of Cyprus. Greek language is used for instruction in graduate courses.
