ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTERS DIVISION

The Electronics and Computer Division is seeking postdoctoral fellows to apply for a research position funded jointly by the General Sectretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT) and the European Union. It will be an appointment of up to 3 years.

Possible subjects cover the following areas:
Advanced Electronic Systems Integration (i.e MCMs), Electronic Design Automation tools, Embedded Systems, VLSI design, Electronic Design and Applications (Communications, medical, etc.), Communication Protocol Software, Digital Signal and Image Processing, Computer Vision, Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Programming, Man-Machine Interfaces, Encryption/Decryption.

The salary will be roughly equal to that of the Assistant Professor in Greece. The selected person will have to conduct research, supervise graduate students, and may teach a graduate course.

The candidates for this position should have the following qualifications: expertise in one or more of the fields mentioned above, at least two years of postdoctoral experience, continuous residence outside Greece for at least the last two years, ability to speak Greek.

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering must submit a proposal to the GSRT that includes the candidate's name, application and curriculum vitae by November 10, 1997. All candidates should submit their applications to our Department by November 6, 1997 to ensure enough time for examining the applications by our faculty members, and preparing our proposals to GSRT. Applications should include a letter of interest, a recent CV, two (2) letters of recommendations and any supporting material (award etc.). They should be sent by both mail and fax to:
