You are invited to apply with the Laboratory of Biochemical Engineering and Environmental Biotechnology (Dept. of Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete, Chania) to the General Secretariat for Science & Technology of Greece for a three year research appointment.

The research interests of the laboratory of "Biochemical Engineering and Environmental Biotechnology" are in the development of novel bioprocesses for treatment of solid, liquid and gas wastes; biofiltration, bioremediation, phytoremediation of liquid wastes and soil remediation; development of diagnostic kits for environmental monitoring; applications of insect, mammalian and plant cell cultures for environmental protection and restoration; environmental microbiology; in vitro toxicology and environmental biotechnology.

The program is aimed to bring to greek universities, greek-speaking individuals who currently live abroad and have at least two-years of postdoctoral research experience. The appointment includes, salary, travel expenses to Greece, help of one laboratory technician and consumables.
