Zimbabwe Hellenic Community efforts to build a schoolGeneral Announcements Directory - Previous Article - Next ArticleFrom: "HR-Net News Distribution Manager" <dist@hri.org>Originally From: Sandy Babiolakis <sandman@coldfire.dnet.co.zw> We are a group of Greek individuals currently residing in Zimbabwe. As a community we completed the building of a junior school. This school has approximately 300 children. The problem that we are facing in Zimbabwe is that there are not enough high quality secondary schools. We have therefore, come together and purchased 30 acres of land in Harare for the purpose of the construction of such. We have engaged the services of a professional body to conduct and complete a feasibility study to show both the viability of putting together this school and obviously the cost thereof. We are trying to get in touch with any foundations that cater for the development of such schools and could provide some funding. We have estimated the total set-up cost to be somewhere in the region of US$3,500,000.00, which for Zimbabwe is a huge amount of money. Yours sincerely Mano D.
