The allied forces targeted with missiles the western regions of Belgrade, while a transmitter of the Serb television was hit near Pristina.Meanwhile, the effort of Cypriot parliament president Spiros Kiprianou for the release of the three US soldiers, who are being held by the Serbs, has ended in failure. The meeting he had yesterday with Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic brought no positive result. Mr. Kiprianou blamed the continuing NATO bombing for the failure of his initiative.
