Sea services from Piraeus port, Greece's largest port, will run smoothly, since the Deputy Mercantile Marine Minister assured the fishermen, who had blocked, they would meet Wednesday noon with Rural Development Minister Alexandros Kontos. [02] Condoleezza Rice Arrives in India

News

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday to hold talks with the Indian administration in Washington's effort to ease tensions in the region. Rice's goal is to exert pressure on India and Pakistan to join forces in the fight against terrorism.

A preparatory meeting between the Indian Foreign Minister and US Undersecretary of State John Negroponte had preceded. The Indian side has claimed the Islamists who launched the attacks in Mumbai killing 188 people came from Pakistan, pointing the finger at Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
