    Help to 70 Migrants

    06 Αυγ 2008 19:33:00 (Last updated: 06 Αυγ 2008 21:16:48)

    By Nasos Bratsos

The Doctors of the World offered their help immediately to the 70 migrants who arrived in Chania on 1 August. They came from Egypt in a specially modified vessel in order not to arouse the interest of the port authorities. As the vessel had cracks, the migrants nearly got drowned. The authorities transferred them to a school building at Inahorio municipality, where non-governmental organisations and the Doctors of the World offered them their services.
