Cloud and rain in Thessaloniki, with temperatures from 6C to 15C.(9/1/2003 10:44:00 рм) [02] Christodoulakis announces tax reformsAccording to information of NET 105.8 radio station, a 7.5% increase of the lump sum civil servants will get when they get their pension will be implemented from the government.The increase will be based on the basis of the salaries of the last five years of employment, while those who had been working at the civil service for more than 32 years will get a higher increase. In contrast, those with secondary education degrees and with less than 25 years of service will receive no increase. Additionally, according to Finance Minister Nikos Christodoulakis, 13 measures will be taken at tax offices that will improve the services offered to civilians. Mr Christodoulakis also left open the possibility for both spouses employed at the public sector to receive retrospectively the family allowance they are entitled to, pointing out that the issue will be discussed with the Civil Servants' board.
