    [04] More earthquakes for Greece

According to seismologists, the two fresh earthquakes that took place in Skyros yesterday, measuring 5,4 and 4,9 on the Richter scale should be considered as aftershocks of the recent earthquake that hit the island.

Meanwhile, two more eathquakes took place in Greece yesterday, the first one in Zakynthos and the second one in Aigion. Specifically, the first earthquake, which measured 4,3 on the Richter scale with its epicentre located north-west of Zakynthos, took place at 17:55 local time, while the second one took place north-east of Aigion at 14:20 and measured 3,8 on the Richter scale.

On a relative development, Greek and foreign seismologists, who are meeting in Thessaloniki to study the latest earthquakes in the region have reached to the conclusion that the fault that starts from the Marmaras Sea and moves east ending in the Northern Aegean is moving westward at a speed of 2-2,5 cm per year, having as a result the "migration" of the earthquakes.

The seismologists are expected to ask for permission from the Greek and Turkish Foreign ministries to carry out joint research using a special seismic vessel to study the Anatolia breach.
