ANA/MPA---Alternate Finance Minister Tryfon Alexiadis on Tuesday in an interview with Praktorio 104.9 FM dismissed reports regarding additional taxes on middle incomes.

"Our fiscal policy is to combat tax evasion and smuggling and to make the tax system fairer," Alexiadis said, adding that "by no means will we impose further taxes on incomes, at least the ones that are up 12,000 euros."

Regarding the Uniform Real Estate Tax (ENFIA), Alexiadis said that first installment will be sent in a few days and will have to be paid until the end of October. He also noted that the amount will be at the same level as last year.

On the abolition of VAT on certain islands, Alexiadis underlined that the agreed timetable will be implemented. Finally, he stressed that "if we want to attract investments, tax stability should be considered granted."
