[01] PM Tsipras' decision to call early elections reflects his deep democratic notion, says Skourletis to ANA-MPAANA/MPA---"Cooperation must be based on solid programmatic bases, but also on the solvency of politicians," outgoing Productive Reconstruction Minister Panos Skourletis on Friday said in an interview with ANA-MPA.Skourletis made clear that "he sees no conditions for post-election cooperation with New Democracy (ND), Potami and PASOK" and estimated that "parliamentary majority is absolutely feasible." Asked about the new party of former SYRIZA deputy Panagiotis Lafazanis, Skourletis said: "We are all supporters of the Left that believes in the dialogue. In the dialogue, the debate within democratic, of course, frameworks. I think they are not many things that divide us from the deputies of the left platform." Skourletis stated that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' decision to hold snap elections reflects his deep democratic notion. He also explained that the government was forced to sign an agreement contrary to its programme and its beliefs in order to avoid the chaos. He stressed that SYRIZA remains the party that gives priority to the workers' interests. "We have concrete proposals for the rural world, that offset these difficult measures we have to take in the next two months. We will attempt to draft a road map, a development road map that will support SMEs, and will try to highlight the comparative advantages of the country. In order to be able to stand on our feet and regain a bit of our sovereignty, which, in fact, we have lost."
