AMNA--The two main labour umbrella federations GSEE and ADEDY have
declared a 24-hour nationwide strike on Wednesday in protest of the
finalisation of the new package of austerity measures.
Participating in the strike will be municipality employees and civil
servants, teachers, doctors and hospital staff as well as merchants,
lawyers, civil engineers and bank employees.amna
Buses and trolleys will operate from 9:00-21:00 and the metro will
operate as normal to facilitate the citizens who will participate in
the demonstrations.
