    Natural gas has entered the lives people in Xanthi, northern Greece, as the Public Gas Corporation (DEFA) has supplied this new energy source for the heating of two schools there.

    The aim of DEFA is to cooperate with the local municipality in managing the delivery of gas for home use until 2003.
