The ruling PASOK party's Parliamentary Group and the European Socialist Party (ESP) will organise an event on the "Future of Europe" at the Zappeion Hall on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, PASOK's Central Committee secretary Costas Laliotis and the Parliamentary Group's President at the European Parliament George Katiforis spoke of the event's purpose and agenda.

Laliotis said it will be an open two-way dialogue in which citizens, personalities or ordinary people will be called on to define proposals, queries or solutions on issues regarding the common future of Europe.

Katiforis said similar discussions are organised in all the European countries at the ESP's initiative to enable more people to participate in the examination and promotion of issues which must be dealt with.
