After examining the operation carefully, the Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EEA or any substantial part of it[03] Commission clears acquisition of TMI by RhenusThe European Commission has granted clearance under the EU Merger Regulation to the acquisition of sole control of B.V. Transport Management International Holding (‘TMI’, the Netherlands) by Rhenus AG & Co. KG (‘Rhenus’, Germany), belonging to the Rethmann group (‘Rethmann’, Germany). Rhenus is active in the logistic and transport services. Rethmann deals with water and recycling management, transport and logistic services, disposal and recycling of animal bodies and food left-overs. TMI is present in the road-, air- and sea forwarding, air cargo handling and warehousing.
