He claimed that the world does not understand the Turkish Cypriots, and that is why the only friends the Turks have are the Turks themselves. He stressed that any agreement in Cyprus will be reached on the basis of Turkey/s guarantees.He pointed out that Cyprus/ importance for Turkey grows with each passing day and emphasized that Cyprus will never become Greek.
