[01] Trade statistics
Cyprus' total imports and exports fell slightly during January-September
1999 as compared with the same period in 1998.
The latest foreign trade figures for the period January- September 1999
show that total imports reached 1.398,9 million pounds as compared with
1.406,3 million pounds in January-September 1998.
Total exports fell to 407,0 million pounds compared with 438,7 million the
previous year.
The trade deficit accounted for 991,9 million pounds compared to 967,7
million in 1998.
