Government Spokesman Christos Stylianides has said that the government
will reduce the costs of its public service, specifically through the
representation of Cyprus abroad.
In statements, after a meeting of the Council of Ministers, Stylianides
said that President Nicos Anastasiades has given instructions to the
Foreign Ministry to conduct a research as regards the representation of
Cyprus abroad, with a view to limit public service costs.
He also noted that the President asked the Ministry of Commerce,
Industry and Tourism to look into the possibility of merging Cyprus
Tourism Organization services abroad, to limit costs and the Defence
Ministry to look into the possibility of limiting the number of military
attaches who serve in Cyprus' embassies abroad.
