[01] Stavros Malas concedes defeat in run-off election
AKEL-backed Stavros Malas has conceded defeat in Sunday's run-off
presidential election.
He told his supporters at his election headquarters, before final results
were announced, that he has already contacted Nicos Anastasiades and
has congratulated him on his victory.
He said that he would back Anastasiades' actions and efforts to bring
the people together but would be critical of any moves he disagrees with.
