  • [01] Polling stations open in Cyprus, Greece and Bulgaria

    Polling stations in Cyprus, Greece and Bulgaria opened smoothly at 0700 local time (0500 GMT) for the second round of presidential elections in Cyprus.

    A total of 1,139 polling stations are operating in Cyprus for 545,491 voters, of whom 311 are on the list of the enclaved (persons living in the northern Turkish-occupied areas of the Republic), and 14,441 who will be voting at one of the 40 polling stations abroad.

    All polling stations abroad will close at a time coinciding with 1800 Cyprus time.
