    Cyprus, a UNESCO member since 1961, has put a lot of effort in promoting the organization's policies and principles Education Minister Kyriakos Kenevezos has said, addressing the 37th Session of UNESCO's General Conference in Paris last week.

    Kenevezos also held a meeting with French Deputy Minister of Ecucation and other officials and examined the prospects for a cooperation at the level of post graduate degrees with the French Institute for Hydrocarbons.

    In his address, the Minister noted that UNESCO's vision for a fair world and its goal for the enhancement of the international cooperation are extremely important in today's financial crisis .
