[01] Cyprus President to attend EU meeting on youth unemployment
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades will attend an EU conference on
youth employment, to be held in Paris, on Tuesday, November 12.
The conference was summoned by French President Francois
Hollande. According to an official announcement, the President will
address the issue, noting his government's efforts in tackling youth
unemployment as a top priority.
The Cypriot President will refer, inter alia, to government preparations
for the timely implementation of a "Council recommendation on establishing
a Youth Guarantee" and of the European Commission's action plan by
December 2013.
After the Paris meeting, the President of the Republic will depart for
Sri Lanka, to take part in the Heads of State and Government Commonwealth
Summit, the announcement concludes.
