The flag of Libya`s National Transitional Council is flying as of
Wednesday at the Embassy of Libya in Nicosia, after the fall of the
regime of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. A group of Libyans living and
working in Cyprus went to the Embassy on Wednesday and requested to
meet with Ambassador Mustafa Al Mgherby, who accepted a delegation.
The delegation said Cyprus is a member state of the EU and that the EU
has deplored the Gaddafi regime, calling for the resignation of the
Libyan Colonel.
Furthermore, the delegation`s request to take down the Gaddafi regime`s
flag and raise the National Transitional Council`s flag was accepted.
