[01] SPOKESMAN - G/C LANDIncreasing difficulties in the solution of the Cyprus issue and especially the territorial aspect are being created due to the selling of land in the Turkish occupied north of Cyprus, according to the government.Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou pointed out that there are court decisions which note how unacceptable this phenomenon is. Invited to comment on Sunday reports on the sale of 1,280 acres of land in occupied Karpass peninsula for 15,500,00 sterling, Stephanou said the embezzlement of Greek Cypriot land in the occupied areas is an unacceptable phenomenon, an intolerable act and for this there are court precedents. Imagine when this action takes place in the background of a negotiation which aspires to lead to a solution of the Cyprus issue, he added. Stephanou said that surely there are repercussions, aside from the fact that the action is illegal, hampers efforts to solve the Cyprus issue and is a difficult and sensitive issue, he concluded. [02] ITALIAN OFFICIAL - CYPRUSDeputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Senator Alfredo Mantica will pay a two day working visit to Cyprus July 7-8, during which he will be received by President Demetris Christofis and will meet House President Marios Garoyian and Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou.Mantica, who will be escorted by other officials of the Italian Foreign Ministry and his spouce, will arrive on the island on Tuesday. Later on he will have a meeting with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nicholas Emiliou. In the afternoon he will have separate meetings with House President Marios Garoyian and Democratic Rally President Nicos Anastasiades. In the evening he will attend a dinner hosted in his honour by Emiliou. On Wednesday morning the Italian official will have a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Kyprianou. Later on he will be received by President Christofias and afterwards he will visit the old city of Nicosia. [03] CYPRUS - DOCTORS - KENYAA shipping container with humanitarian aid, including footwear, clothes, bed linen, towels and bookshelves, has been sent to Kenya by the Volunteer Doctors - Cyprus, to be used for the orphanage being erected by the organisation in Nairobi.According to a press release, the container also includes gifts from sponsor parents who have joined the Distance Sponsoring programme.
